Plast-Aid is a two part repair compound, a liquid and a powder, supplied here as the 6 oz. kit, part number PLA-6. It does not behave like a glue in a tube. You combine the two parts and a curing reaction starts immediately.
How it cures
Mixed, the compound thickens, passing through a glue like stage on its way to a solid. After roughly 10 minutes it has formed a hard, durable, waterproof acrylic plastic.
Working with it
Because the cured material is a real plastic rather than a flexible filler, it can be sanded, drilled or filed once it has set. That makes it usable where a repair has to be shaped, tapped or trimmed flush rather than simply sealed.
