Product details

Pool-Krete UM-2 is a pre-mixed vermiculite pool base supplied in 40 pound bags. It is the material used to form a smooth, even floor before the pool surface goes down.

Why a pre-mix

Blending vermiculite and cement by hand on site gives a different result from one batch to the next, and a floor shows every inconsistency. A bagged pre-mix keeps the ratio the same across the whole job.

Ordering

Work out the floor area and the thickness you are laying first, then order the full quantity in one order so every bag comes from the same run.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

How big is the bag?
40 pounds. It is sold as a single bag, so work out the coverage you need and order the full quantity together.
Is it pre-mixed?
Yes. It arrives as a pre-mix rather than as separate vermiculite and cement to blend on site.
What part number is this?
UM-2. Order by that number, since vermiculite base products are sold in several formulations.
How many bags do I need?
That depends on the floor area and the thickness you are laying. Work the area out first, then order the whole job in one go so the material is consistent.
