Product details

Deck-O-Seal pour grade, part number 4701023, is a two part polysulfide joint sealant in tan, supplied in a 24 oz. unit. It is made for the expansion joints and cracks around a swimming pool.

Pour grade means self leveling

Once mixed, the sealant flows out and finds its own level in a horizontal joint. That gives a flat, even finish without tooling, which is exactly what you want along the line between coping and deck. Because it levels, it belongs in horizontal joints. A vertical joint needs a non sag grade instead.

Why polysulfide around a pool

Poolside joints move with heat and take constant splash, chlorinated water and foot traffic. A premium polysulfide sealant stays flexible through that, which is why it has been the traditional choice for deck joints rather than a general purpose builders caulk.

Working with a two part product

Mix the two components thoroughly and only prepare what you can place within the working time. Joints should be clean, dry and free of old sealant before you pour, since adhesion is what decides whether the repair lasts a season or a decade.
