Wet or dry application
The reason this product stays in a service truck is that it can be worked in the water. A chipped step, a void behind a fitting or a cracked plaster face can be dealt with the day it is found instead of scheduling a drain down. It sets quickly, which is what lets it hold on a wet or vertical surface, so mix only what you can place.
Color
The patch is white. If the surrounding plaster is tinted, cement colorants can be blended into the mix to bring the repair closer to the existing finish. Test a small batch first, since color shifts as the mortar cures.
