The Polaris R0838000 is the cyclonic turbine for the Quattro Sport P40 pool cleaner. It is made by Polaris for use in Quattro Sport assemblies and is sold each.

What the turbine does

Water entering the cleaner spins the turbine, and that rotation is what drives the cleaner around the pool. It is a moving part in a stream that carries grit, so it wears, and everything downstream of it depends on it turning freely.

The symptom

A cleaner that has slowed down, wanders or no longer finishes its pattern in a cycle, with no obvious blockage and a healthy water supply. Pulling the turbine usually shows worn or chipped vanes, or debris wound into it. A new turbine puts the drive back.
