Product details

The Polaris R0836500 is the rear canister latch for the Quattro Sport pool cleaner, supplied as a pack of two. It is the genuine factory part.

What it does

The latch holds the debris canister closed against the body of the cleaner. Every cycle it gets opened, emptied and snapped shut again, which is a lot of flexing for a small plastic part sitting in chlorinated water and sun. When one finally breaks, the canister can pop open during a run and put the debris it collected straight back into the pool.

Why two

Both latches have done the same number of cycles, so a pack of two means the second one is fresh before it fails as well. This listing covers the rear latch, so look at which end of the canister has given up before you order.
