Product details

The Polaris R0838500 is the left gearbox for the Quattro Sport and P40 pool cleaners. It is the genuine Polaris part, the same unit fitted at the factory.

What it drives

The gearbox sits in the left side of the cleaner body and turns the side brush. That brush is what reaches into the corner between the wall and the floor and sweeps debris toward the cleaner intake, so when it stops turning the cleaner starts leaving a line of dirt behind it.

Left or right

This is the left hand unit only. Watch the cleaner run and note which side brush has stalled before ordering, because the right hand gearbox carries a different part number.
