  • Twin roto action Two rotating nozzles instead of one fixed stream, for a moving massage pattern.

Product details

The Waterway 229-8121-DK is a Poly Storm twin roto jet internal for gunite, in the thread-in style with a 5-scallop escutcheon, finished in dark gray.

What twin roto means

Instead of one fixed stream, this internal carries two nozzles that spin as water flows through them. The result is a moving pattern rather than a single point of pressure, which is why roto jets are common on spa benches where the water hits the same spot on your back for a long time.

Thread-in, not snap-in

This one screws into the wall fitting. Waterway builds internals in both mounting styles and they are not interchangeable, so look at the one you are pulling out. If it unscrews, this is your style.

What is included

The internal only. The wall fitting is plumbed into the shell and stays there; the internal is the serviceable part that carries the nozzles and the visible face.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What is twin roto?
Two nozzles that rotate as water passes through, so the stream moves rather than hitting one spot. It is the rotating alternative to a fixed directional jet.
Is this the thread-in or the snap-in version?
Thread-in. It screws into the wall fitting. Waterway makes both styles, so check what you are removing before ordering.
Does this include the wall fitting?
No. This is the internal, the removable part that carries the nozzles and the escutcheon. The wall fitting stays in the shell.
What does 5-scallop refer to?
The escutcheon, the visible face ring. It has five scallops, which is what keeps it looking consistent with the rest of a Poly Storm bench.
