Product details

This is the Jacuzzi 42377309 standpipe assembly for the Laser 225L top mount sand filter, supplied with the lateral and using the snap fit connection.

What it does

The standpipe runs up the middle of the sand tank and carries the laterals that collect filtered water. The laterals are slotted so water passes and sand does not. When the standpipe cracks or a lateral splits, media has a clear path into the return plumbing, which is why the first sign of failure is sand appearing on the pool floor after a backwash.

Which filter is this for?

Does it include the lateral?

Yes. The assembly comes with the lateral fitted to the standpipe.

What does snap fit mean here?

The lateral attaches to the standpipe by snapping into place rather than screwing on. Match it to what came out of your tank.

Why is sand blowing back into my pool?

Almost always a cracked standpipe or a split lateral. Once the media can get past the assembly it goes straight through the valve and back to the returns, and replacing the assembly is the fix.
