Product details

The Jacuzzi 39251707K is the handle repair kit for the DV4 and DV6 dial valves. It replaces the handle assembly on a valve whose body is still sound.

Why the handle goes first

Every position change on a dial valve is made through the handle, so it absorbs the twisting load each time the valve moves between filter, backwash and rinse. Over the years the plastic cracks, the connection strips, or the handle starts spinning without moving the valve. None of that means the valve is finished, and a handle kit brings it back into service.

Before you order

Confirm you have a DV4 or DV6 valve, since Jacuzzi and Carvin built several dial valve families and the handles are not shared across all of them. Shut the pump down and relieve system pressure before working on the valve.

Does this fit both the DV4 and the DV6?
Yes. Jacuzzi lists 39251707K as the handle repair kit for both dial valves.
Is this just the handle?
It is supplied as a repair kit, so the handle comes with the hardware that goes with it rather than as a loose part on its own.
My handle turns but the valve does not change position. Is this the right part?
That is the usual sign of a stripped handle connection, which is what this kit addresses. If the valve itself feels seized, the problem is inside the valve body instead.
Do I need to drain the system to fit it?
The handle sits on the outside of the valve, so the repair is done from the top. Shut the pump off and relieve pressure before you start.
