The Aladdin GO-KIT69 is the rebuild kit for 1-1/2 in. valves. It brings together the diverter spider gasket and the complete set of o-rings a valve needs when it is opened up.

What is in the box

One G-416 diverter spider gasket, two O-83 valve adapter o-rings, one O-108 valve adapter o-ring, two O-276 shaft seal o-rings, one O-467 body o-ring and one O-139 valve top o-ring.

Why a kit rather than one part

Every seal in the valve has aged under the same heat, pressure and chemistry, so if one has failed the others are close behind. Since the work of taking the valve apart is the same either way, changing the whole set is the repair that lasts. The spider gasket is usually the culprit: once it hardens or tears, water crosses between the ports and the valve stops directing flow properly even though the handle still moves.

Size matters

This is the 1-1/2 in. kit. The 2 in. valve takes a different Aladdin kit, so measure or check your valve before ordering.

What is in the kit?

Will it fit a 2 in. valve?
No. This is the 1-1/2 in. kit. Aladdin lists a separate rebuild kit for the 2 in. valve.
Do I have to replace everything in the kit?
It is worth doing. The parts have all aged together, and the labor of opening the valve is the same whether you change one seal or all of them.
Why is the spider gasket the important one?
It is what separates the ports inside the valve. When it hardens or tears, water crosses between ports and the valve stops doing its job even though the handle moves normally.
