Product details

The Baker Hydro 51B1004 is the throat extension assembly for Baker Hydro pool skimmers. It is the piece that carries the skimmer throat from the buried body up to the finished deck level, where the lid and collar sit.

Why the extension matters

A skimmer body is set at whatever depth the shell and the plumbing dictate, and the deck is poured on top of it. The throat extension is what closes that gap. If the extension has cracked, distorted or been cut short during a rebuild, water works its way out behind the skimmer instead of down the throat, and the ground around the skimmer stays wet.

What does a throat extension actually do?
