Quick overview

  • Val-Pak replacement part Part number V34-124 from the Val-Pak line of pool replacement components.
  • Anthracite color The dark anthracite version of the diverter.
  • Skimmer internal The diverter sits inside the skimmer and controls which line the pump draws from.
  • Sold on its own This is the diverter itself, not a full skimmer or a lid.
  • Match it before ordering The information we have does not list which skimmer bodies it fits, so compare it against the piece you are replacing.
  • Restores suction control A cracked or missing diverter lets the pump pull from the wrong side, which shows up as weak skimming or a vacuum that will not hold.

Product details

This is the Val-Pak skimmer diverter, part number V34-124, in anthracite.

What the diverter does

The diverter is the piece inside the skimmer that decides where the pump pulls from. Turned one way it draws through the skimmer, turned the other it opens the main drain or the vacuum line. When it cracks, warps or goes missing, the pump ends up drawing from both sides at once. The symptom owners notice is weak skimming, or a manual vacuum that never quite builds suction.

Before you order

The details we have cover the part number and the color. There is no fit list, so take the old diverter out and compare it with the photos before you buy.
