Product details

The Val-Pak V38-127 is the 2 HP plastic impeller for the Pentair American Products Ultra-Flo pump. It is a replacement part, cross referenced in our source to Pentair 39005300 and 39005310.

Match the horsepower

Ultra-Flo impellers are sized to the motor they run behind. This is the 2 HP impeller, and it should only go into a 2 HP pump. Putting a different size in changes the load the motor sees and the flow the system was designed around.

Signs the impeller is done

Weak returns, a skimmer that stops pulling, and a pump that primes but never reaches pressure all point at the wet end. Once debris has worn or chipped the vanes, or packed the eye solid, the pump cannot move the water it used to. Replacing the impeller restores the flow.

While you are in there

The shaft seal has to be disturbed to pull the impeller, so plan on a fresh seal in the same job, and look over the diffuser for wear and cracks before closing the pump back up.
