Product details
The Val-Pak V38-132 is a replacement diffuser for the Pentair American Products Ultra-Flow pool pump. One part covers the 0.5 HP through 1.5 HP models.
What the diffuser does
Inside the wet end, the impeller throws water outward and the diffuser is the shaped housing that catches it and turns that motion into usable pressure. When the diffuser is cracked, worn at the eye, or no longer sealing against the impeller, water slips back around instead of going out to the filter. The pump sounds normal, the motor draws normal current, and the pressure is simply down.
Ordering notes
This is a Val-Pak aftermarket part, not a factory Pentair one, made to the same fitment. Unlike the impellers, which are matched to a specific horsepower, this diffuser is listed across the half through one and a half horsepower Ultra-Flow range. If the impeller is scored or the vanes are worn, replace both while the wet end is open.
