Product details

The 31B0077 is the valve adapter used on Baker Hydro filters, the fitting that carries the union connection between the filter valve and the tank. It is listed for the HRV side mount sand filters and for the HRC-300 and HRC-400 cartridge filters.

What it does

The adapter is the threaded piece the union nut pulls against. It takes the load every time the valve is unbolted and refitted, and it is the part that ends up cracked or distorted after a few seasons of that. A joint that keeps weeping after a new o-ring is usually telling you the adapter itself is done.

Before you order

The adapter is supplied on its own, without the o-ring, so if the seal is flattened or split get one at the same time. Baker Hydro filters have also been badged and serviced under the Waterco name over the years, so go by the filter model and the 31B0077 number rather than the label on the tank.
