Product details

The SimPoolTech AGWM-H is a skimmer plug for widemouth above ground skimmers. It is listed as fitting Hayward®, HydroTools and other popular brands with a widemouth opening.

What it is for

Closing an above ground pool usually means dropping the water below the skimmer so nothing is left standing in it to freeze. The plug seals the skimmer throat, which keeps water out of the skimmer body over the winter. A skimmer left open and holding water is one of the most common things to crack by spring.

Widemouth is a style, not an exact standard, and dimensions vary a little between brands. This plug covers openings from 5-1/8 inches high by 11-1/2 inches wide up to 5-3/16 inches high by 11-5/8 inches wide.
