The AquaStar 10AVR101 is a 10 inch round anti-entrapment suction outlet cover in white, supplied with a solid riser ring and a mud frame.

What you get

The cover, the solid riser ring and the mud frame come together, along with disposable dog bone supports. Those supports sit in the frame during construction to stop it deforming under the weight of the pour, and are thrown away once the deck is finished.

Material and service life

It is molded from UV resistant engineered polymers, because a drain cover spends its life under water and sunlight at the same time. Even so, these covers carry a five year replacement interval. That date is not about looks, it is about the polymer losing strength over time, and a cover past its life is the part that fails when it matters.
