The Hayward WGX1048E is the 8 inch anti-vortex main drain cover in white, a VGB approved suction outlet cover for Hayward SP1048 drains.

Why the cover is not optional

Main drains sit under suction, and a certified cover is what keeps that suction from being dangerous. This one is VGB approved and rated at 125 gpm on the floor or 72 gpm on a wall, and the anti-vortex shape breaks up the swirl that otherwise forms over an open outlet.

Checking the fit

Before ordering, measure the two mounting holes on the drain body. They should be 6 inches apart, center of one hole to center of the other. That, together with the 8 inch cover size, tells you quickly whether this is the right part.
