Product details

The CMP 25520-000-000 is a white main drain sump with 2 inch by 1.5 inch FIP porting. The sump is the buried half of a main drain: it sets into the pool floor, takes the plumbing, and gives the drain cover something to fasten to.

Threaded, not glued

FIP means female pipe thread. A threaded male fitting screws into the sump instead of being solvent welded, which is what lets the connection be made up with sealant and, if it ever has to be, broken again.
