Product details

This is the PoolTux King solid winter cover for a 12 ft by 24 ft rectangular inground pool. The cover itself is cut to 17'x29', giving a 5 ft overlap all round, which is what lies on the deck and takes the weight that holds everything down.

How it is made

The fabric is 8 mil triple laminated polyethylene, silver on black. The seams are heat sealed rather than sewn, so there is no line of needle holes for water to work through. PoolTux backs it with the 15 year King warranty.

Solid rather than mesh

A solid cover blocks sunlight and keeps rain, leaves and dirty runoff out of the pool through the closed season, which is why the water underneath opens cleaner in spring. Water collects on top and has to be pumped off through the winter.

What you still need

Water tubes are not part of this listing. They are the weights that sit on the overlap and hold the cover to the deck, and they are ordered separately.

Why is the cover bigger than my pool?
A 12'x24' pool takes a 17'x29' cover. The extra 5 ft of overlap is what lies on the deck and holds the cover in place once it is weighted down.
Are water tubes included?
No. The water tubes shown in use are sold separately and need to be ordered alongside the cover.
What is the difference between solid and mesh?
A solid cover blocks light and keeps water and debris out entirely, so the pool stays cleaner. Mesh lets water through and needs no pump on top, but allows some fine dirt and light in.
How long is it warranted?
15 years, under the PoolTux King warranty.
