Product details

This Royal mesh panel is cut for a 16 x 36 ft rectangular inground pool with no step section. The fabric measures 18 x 38 ft, which gives a foot of overlap onto the deck all the way around for the straps and anchors. It is the pool figure that decides which cover you need, so take a tape to the water line before ordering.

Blue mesh fabric, published at 4.5 oz with a 385 PSI burst rating.
Rain and melting snow go through the weave into the pool rather than sitting on the panel.
The strap grid is 5 ft square, and stainless steel springs hold the tension.
Flush mount brass anchors and collars are made not to corrode and set level with concrete or paver decking.
An installation rod, a tamping tool, and a storage bag come in the box.

If you are choosing between this and a winter cover, the standard draws a hard line. ASTM F1346 groups a winter cover with other covers and says it is not intended as a barrier for children under five, and section 8.12 makes the label state which class the cover falls in. PoolTux publishes 15 years limited on the Royal, the first 3 full.

What size pool does this cover fit?

A 16 x 36 ft rectangular inground pool with no step. The panel is cut at 18 x 38 ft, which is the fabric size rather than a pool size: the extra foot on each side is what reaches the deck. Measure the pool itself at the water line first.

How do I know a cover is a real safety cover?

The label tells you. ASTM F1346 requires in section 8.12 that a cover be labeled with its classification, so a safety cover says so and a winter cover does not. That is the one check that does not rely on how the cover looks or how heavy it feels. This panel is sold as a safety cover made to meet ASTM F1346.

Do I need a cover pump for this?

No. Mesh drains rain and snowmelt down into the pool, so nothing gathers on the fabric for a pump to shift. A solid safety cover is the case where a pump is needed, because it holds the water on the surface.

How long does PoolTux warrant this cover?

The Royal line carries 15 years limited, with the first 3 of those full. The warranty is the manufacturer's, so hold on to the paperwork in the bag and the record of the purchase date.
