Product details

The Gold Eagle JRD is a bonding clamp for swimming pool work. It clamps onto the rebar in the pool shell and terminates a number 8 bare solid copper bonding wire, which is how the steel gets tied into the equipotential bonding grid around the pool.

Rated for burial

Bonding connections do not live in a box where you can get at them. They go in the ground, get covered, and are expected to hold for the life of the pool. This clamp is rated for direct burial, so it belongs in that spot rather than a general hardware clamp that will corrode away.

Before you order

Sizing for this clamp is published two ways: a 3/8 in to 1 in clamp range, and .375 in to .5 in rebar. Both readings appear in the source data, so measure the steel you are clamping to and work to the narrower figure if you need to be sure. Bonding is code work, so follow your local requirements and get it inspected.
