Product details

The Lasco 429-020 is a 2 inch PVC coupling with slip sockets on both ends. It joins two lengths of 2 inch pipe in a straight run.

What it is for

This is the fitting you reach for when a line has been cut, a section has been replaced, or a run needs to be extended. Both ends are plain sockets, so the pipe slides in and is solvent welded with primer and cement.

Sizing

Two inch is the common size on pool equipment pads, but it is worth measuring rather than assuming, since 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch pipe are easy to mix up by eye. Match the fitting to the pipe you actually have.

What does slip by slip mean?
Both ends are plain sockets that the pipe slides into and is solvent welded. Neither end is threaded.
What size pipe does it take?
2 inch PVC pipe on both ends.
Can I use it to repair a cut line?
Yes. That is the usual job: cut back to clean pipe, add the coupling, and solvent weld both sides.
Is this the extra deep version?
No. This is the standard Lasco 429-020 coupling. Extra deep couplings are a separate part.
