Quick overview
- Forty five degree turn Changes direction by 45 degrees, for the corners where a hard 90 would crowd the run.
- One inch slip Sized for 1 inch pipe with a slip socket rather than a threaded connection.
- Lasco 417-010 The factory part number, so the same fitting can be reordered exactly.
- PVC pool plumbing A rigid PVC fitting filed with pool and spa plumbing parts.
- Kinder to flow Two 45s take a corner with less turbulence than a single hard 90, which matters on suction lines.
- Solvent weld, not thread A slip socket is glued with primer and PVC cement, so dry fit the run before you commit.

Product details
The Lasco 417-010 is a PVC 45 degree elbow in 1 inch slip. It is the fitting for turning a plumbing run through 45 degrees rather than a full right angle.
Where a 45 belongs
Not every corner on an equipment pad wants a 90. A 45 turns the pipe more gently, and a pair of them around an obstacle costs less flow than one sharp elbow. On the suction side of a pump, where every bit of resistance shows up in the pump performance, that difference is worth having.
Fitting it
Slip means a solvent weld socket. The pipe goes into the fitting with primer and PVC cement, so cut and dry fit the whole run first, mark your alignment, then glue. Once the cement grabs there is no adjusting the angle.
