CaliMar Variable Speed Pool Pump 2 in. Threaded Ports 2HP

The CaliMar CMARVSP2.0 is a 2 HP variable speed pump with 2 in. threaded ports, built for inground pools and equally at home on a spa, water feature or fountain. It combines a permanent magnet motor with efficient hydraulics in a corrosion proof body, and it is listed under the ENERGY STAR 2.0 pool pump specification.

Motor and hydraulics

The permanent magnet motor is the reason a variable speed pump runs so quietly and so cheaply at low speed. It is totally enclosed and fan cooled, which keeps it efficient and long lived. Behind it, a redesigned diffuser and high efficiency impeller move more water per watt while keeping noise down.

Built to last on the pad

Body parts are thick walled, reinforced thermoplastic that will not corrode. The shaft is stainless steel and the mechanical seal uses carbon to ceramic faces. The pump is self priming, so start up after a basket clean or a winter layup is quick.

Everyday maintenance

The clear lid lets you see the strainer basket without opening anything, and when it does need emptying the lid comes off with a quarter turn and locks back the same way. The basket is large, so those checks are less frequent to begin with.
