Product details

Jandy R0359700 is the DE grid top spacer used in the DEL and DEV series diatomaceous earth filters. It is the genuine Jandy part, the same component fitted at the factory.

What it does

Inside a DE filter, the grids have to stay evenly spaced and upright. The top spacer is the piece that enforces that. When it is cracked, worn or missing, the grids lean, contact each other and wear through at the rub points. From the pool side, that shows up as DE coming back through the returns.

When to change it

The spacer is worth a look every time the tank is open, whether you are stripping the grid pack for a deep clean or replacing grids outright. It is a low cost part, and replacing a tired one while the tank is already apart saves opening it again.
