Product details

The Jandy R0405100 top spacer collar is a genuine replacement part for Jandy DE filters. It is listed for the DEV series, DEV48 and DEV60, and is also carried for the DEL series, DEL48 and DEL60.

What it does

The spacer collar sits at the top of the element assembly and holds the internals at their intended spacing. That sounds minor until it fails. A cracked or crushed collar lets the stack move under flow, which throws off how the grids sit and how the DE loads onto them.

When to change it

Plastic parts inside a DE tank live in an abrasive, chemically active environment and go brittle with age. Inspect the collar any time the filter is open for a grid change or a full clean, and replace it if it is cracked, distorted or no longer holding its shape. It is an inexpensive part to change while the tank is already apart.
