Product details

Polaris 6-406-00 is the filter connector and randomizer tube kit for the Polaris 160 and 165 pool cleaners. It is the genuine Polaris part, supplied as both pieces together.

The randomizer

Left to itself a cleaner will happily run the same track around a pool all afternoon. The randomizer changes the direction of travel so the cleaner spreads its coverage instead of polishing one lane and ignoring the rest. When the tube perishes or splits, that variation goes and the cleaner starts leaving whole sections dirty.

The filter connector

The connector is the joint between the cleaner and its filter bag. A cracked or loose connector bleeds flow and lets debris escape rather than collect, so the bag comes out lighter than it should while the pool floor stays covered.

Both pieces sit in the water full time and take chemical exposure and UV, so they harden and crack with age. Replacing them together restores the cleaner to its designed pattern.
