This is the genuine Polaris replacement filter screen for the Spa Wand, part number 5-116-00. It fits the Polaris Spa Wand, model 5-100-00.

What it does

The Spa Wand works by pulling water and debris through a screen. Everything it lifts off the spa floor, the seats and the corners is held in that screen instead of going back into the water, which is why a wand with a clogged or split screen feels weak and leaves grit behind.

When to replace it

Screens are consumable. Fine silt packs into the mesh over a season, and a tear anywhere in the screen lets debris straight through. Keeping a spare on the shelf means a wand that is not working can be back in service in a minute rather than sitting in the shed.
