Quick overview

  • Complete assembly The whole grid set for the FNS 24, not a single replacement grid.
  • Genuine Pentair Factory part 195182 for the Nautilus FNS DE filter family.
  • FNS 24 specific Sized for the 24 square foot tank in the FNS range, so match the model on your filter label.
  • Grids carry the DE The grid fabric is what holds the diatomaceous earth that does the filtering, and torn fabric sends DE straight back to the pool.
  • Whole set at once Grids age together, so replacing the assembly avoids one new grid loading unevenly against a set of worn ones.
  • Restores filtration A filter that will not hold pressure or keeps returning DE is usually telling you the grids are done.

Product details

The Pentair 195182 is the complete DE grid assembly for the Nautilus FNS 24 filter. It is the genuine Pentair part and it covers the full set of grids rather than a single element.

Why the grids matter

A DE filter does its work in the layer of diatomaceous earth held on the grid fabric. The grids themselves are just the frame and the cloth that carry that layer. When the fabric tears, thins or pulls away from the frame, the DE washes through and ends up back in the pool, and the filter loses the fine filtration it was chosen for.

Why replace the set

Grids in a tank all see the same chemistry, the same backwashes and the same running hours, so they wear together. Dropping one new grid into a set of tired ones loads it unevenly and leaves you doing the job again shortly after. Replacing the assembly puts the filter back to a known state.

Check the model first

The Nautilus FNS range runs from the FNS 24 up to the FNS 60. This assembly is for the 24 only, so read the model on the filter label before ordering.
