The Raypak 014854F is the burner tray with gas valve for the Model 156A pool heater, in the sea level propane gas configuration. It is the genuine Raypak part.

What you get

The tray and the gas valve come together as one assembly, so the burners and the valve that feeds them arrive matched rather than sourced separately.

Match the gas and the elevation

Two things have to line up before you order: the fuel and the altitude rating. This part is propane at sea level. A natural gas heater, or one set up for high altitude, takes a different part number, and fitting the wrong one is a combustion problem rather than a fit problem.

Installation

This is gas work. A qualified gas technician should do the replacement and verify gas pressure and combustion afterward.

Does this include the gas valve?
Yes. It is the burner tray with the gas valve, supplied as one assembly.
Will it work on a natural gas heater?
No. This is the propane gas version. Natural gas heaters use a different burner tray and valve.

Can I fit it myself?
Replacing a burner tray and gas valve is gas work. It should be done by a qualified technician, who will also check the gas pressure and combustion after the swap.
