Rheem 009833 is the D-2 power vent kit for 336-406 and 337-408 IID pool heaters, supplied with the PolyTuf powder coated galvanized steel cabinet in Cool Dark Gray. It is the genuine Raypak Rheem part.

What a power vent does

A standard pool heater relies on natural draft to carry combustion gases out. Where that is not possible, an indoor mechanical room or a vent run with restrictions, a power vent kit puts a powered blower in the path and moves those gases under pressure. It changes what the heater needs from the venting, and it is the difference between an installation that passes and one that will not.

Electrical

The vent runs on 240 VAC and draws 1 amp. Wiring and vent routing follow the heater manual and local code, and this is work for a licensed installer.

The cabinet

The kit is not a bare blower. It comes with the galvanized steel cabinet finished in PolyTuf powder coat, Cool Dark Gray, so the finished install matches the heater it sits on.
