The Pentair 360488 is the leader hose for the Rebel V2 suction side in ground pool cleaner. It is the genuine Pentair OEM replacement part.
Which section this is
The leader is the first hose length off the cleaner itself, the piece between the cleaner and the rest of the hose run heading back to the suction line. Because it sits closest to the action, it flexes on every turn and every wall climb.
Why it goes first
All that movement is why the leader is normally the section that fails while the rest of the hose still looks fine. Once it kinks, cracks or collapses, the cleaner loses suction, slows down and starts leaving patches of the pool alone. Replacing that one section restores the flow without touching the rest of the hose.
