Product details

The Pool Pals SW905 is a 7 in. Quick Pull skimmer weir, the floating door that sits across the mouth of a pool skimmer. Pool Pals is a brand of Oreq, which makes the Quick Pull weir in sizes from 5-3/4 in. to 12 in.

Why the weir matters

A weir lets a thin layer of surface water, along with the leaves and bugs floating on it, spill into the skimmer. When the pump shuts off it swings closed so that debris stays in the basket. A cracked, warped or missing weir lets debris float back out, and the skimmer does less of its job.

Installation

No tools are needed. Remove the old weir, line up the new one, and pull the colored cord. That releases a spring-loaded placement rod that holds the weir securely in the skimmer.

Sizing

Measure the width of the weir you are replacing and confirm it is 7 in. before ordering. The Quick Pull weir suits residential and commercial pools alike.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

How do I know 7 in. is the right size?
Measure the width of the weir you are replacing and match it. The Quick Pull weir comes in 18 sizes from 5-3/4 in. to 12 in., and SW905 is the 7 in. one.
Do I need tools to install it?
No. Take out the old weir, line up the new one, then pull the colored cord. That releases the spring-loaded placement rod and sets the weir.
What does a skimmer weir do?
It is the floating door across the mouth of the skimmer. It lets a thin layer of surface water and floating debris spill in, then closes when the pump stops so leaves and bugs stay in the basket instead of drifting back into the pool.
Will it work in a commercial pool skimmer?
Yes, if the size matches. The Quick Pull weir is made for both residential and commercial pools.
