The AquaStar A10RCFR102 is a 10 inch round sumpless suction outlet cover in black, supplied with the universal adapter kit. It is built for single or multiple drain use and can go into a retrofit or a new build.
Sumpless, and what that means
No sump is required behind this cover. As a single sumpless cover on a floor or wall it is rated at 170 GPM with a flow velocity of 1.7 fps, through 31.5 square inches of open area. The rating depends on the cover being installed the way AquaStar specifies, so read the instructions before you cut anything.
Fitting to what is already there
The universal adapter frame is designed to retrofit existing frames and sumps up to 10 inches round. A mud frame version is available where the work is new construction. For odd sized or non structured frames and sumps, AquaStar lists the Brass Anchor Kit, part BIK4.
Compliance and materials
The cover carries a trademarked compliance button so VGB 2008 compliance can be read from the deck. Every component, cover, adapter plate, frame and screws, meets or exceeds ANSI/APSP 16-2011 and NSF/ANSI 50-2009a, and the engineered polymer is UV resistant and tested to ASTM G154. The screws are #316 stainless steel.
Replace it on schedule
Drain covers are consumables with a fixed life. Replace this one five years from the date of installation, and write the date down somewhere you will find it.
