Product details

The AquaStar 12MF101 is a 12 inch square MoFlow suction outlet cover supplied with its mud frame, molded in white UV-resistant engineered polymer.

Retrofit sizing

It is designed to retrofit 12 inch square frames that are 3/4 inch deep. Square outlet covers exist in several sizes and frame depths that look nearly identical from the deck, so measure the frame in the pool rather than ordering to the look of the old cover.

Material and life

The engineered polymer is specified for UV resistance, which is what keeps a cover sitting in sunlit water from going brittle and chalky. Even so, suction outlet covers are a dated part: replace this one five years from the date it is installed, and sooner if it cracks, lifts or loses a fastener. A damaged or missing cover is a suction entrapment hazard, so keep the pump off until a sound cover is bolted down.
