Flow ratings
The grate is rated 515 GPM when installed in the pool floor and 308 GPM when installed in a wall. Those numbers matter: a suction outlet cover has to be rated at or above the maximum flow the line behind it can draw, and floor and wall positions are rated separately because the approach to the grate differs.
