Product details

The Hayward WG1154AVPAK2 is a deluxe dual suction outlet for concrete pools. It is supplied as two complete sumps with covers and an adjustable plastic collar, with a 2 inch female thread connection.

Why it is a pair

Suction outlets are installed in pairs so that no single opening can be blocked and take the full pull of the pump. Plumbing two together shares the draw between them, which is why these parts are supplied and specified as a set rather than one at a time.

The adjustable collar

The collar between the sump and the cover lets the assembly be brought up to the finished level of the shell, which matters on a concrete pool where the plaster or pebble thickness is not known exactly when the sump is set. It takes the guesswork out of getting the cover to sit flush.

Fitting

Each sump takes a 2 inch female threaded connection. Suction outlet work is regulated, so if you are replacing outlets on an existing pool rather than building one, have the installation checked against current requirements by a qualified pool builder or service company.
