Product details

The Lasco 438-248 is a 2 by 3/4 inch Schedule 40 PVC reducer bushing, with a spigot end that inserts into a 2 inch fitting and a 3/4 inch female pipe thread on the other end.

What it does

A reducer bushing steps a larger fitting opening down to a smaller connection. Here the spigot end inserts into a 2 inch socket, and the reduced end accepts a 3/4 inch male threaded fitting.

Fit and compatibility

Use it anywhere a 2 inch Schedule 40 socket needs to reduce down to a 3/4 inch threaded connection, such as stepping a pump or valve port down to smaller threaded equipment.

Before you order

Confirm which side is threaded on your existing fitting, since this bushing reduced end is female thread, not slip. Wrap the mating male threads with PTFE tape or thread sealant before assembly, and glue the spigot end into its socket with PVC cement and primer.
