Product details

The Raypak H000331 is the transformer for the 5450, 6450 and 8450 pool heat pumps. It is the genuine Raypak replacement part.

What it does

The transformer steps line voltage down to the low voltage the control circuit runs on. Everything on the control side of the heat pump depends on it, so when it fails the unit can have power at the disconnect and still be completely dead at the panel.

Diagnosing it

If the heat pump shows no signs of life but line voltage is present, checking the transformer output is one of the first steps. Replace it with the OEM part so the secondary voltage matches what the rest of the control circuit expects.
