Raypak H000299 DPST Fan Relay for 2350/3350/4350 Heat Pump Pool Heater

The Raypak H000299 is the genuine DPST fan relay for the 2350, 3350 and 4350 heat pump pool heaters.

What it does

A heat pump moves heat out of the air and into the pool water, and the fan is what keeps air flowing across the evaporator coil to make that possible. The fan relay is the switch that makes and breaks the fan motor circuit on command from the control. DPST means double pole single throw, so it switches two conductors together.

How it fails

Relay contacts carry the motor inrush every time the fan starts, and over the years they pit, stick or weld. The symptom is a unit that powers up and calls for heat while the fan hums, chatters or sits still, often followed by a high pressure trip because there is no airflow across the coil.

Before ordering

Confirm the model number on the data plate is one of the 2350, 3350 or 4350, and check the fan motor and capacitor as well, since a seized motor will destroy a new relay the same way it destroyed the old one.
