Product details

The Oreq Animal is a 20 inch vacuum head running on 12 urethane wheels, part number VH4215X. It is the manual vacuum head for covering a lot of floor quickly.

Width and wheels

A 20 inch head sweeps a wide path, so a full pool takes fewer passes than it would with a standard residential head. The urethane wheels are the other half of that: they roll easily under load and stay kind to plaster and pebble surfaces that harder wheels can scuff.

The SpeedLock connection

Oreq uses the same patented SpeedLock system across its brushes, rakes and vacuums. It is aimed at pole flare, the slop that develops where the pole meets the tool and takes the precision out of vacuuming. A tighter joint means the head goes where the pole points and the connection holds up to daily service use.

What is included

The head only. Poles and vacuum hose are separate purchases.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What size is this vacuum head?
It is listed as the Animal 20 inch head, Oreq part VH4215X. One of the source listings for this part number also shows a 21 inch size, so measure the head you are replacing if width is critical to you.
Why urethane wheels?
Urethane rolls smoothly and is gentle on the pool surface, which matters on plaster and pebble finishes where harder wheels can leave marks.
What is SpeedLock?
It is the Oreq pole connection used across their brushes, rakes and vacuums. It is designed to reduce pole flare, tighten up control and make a stronger joint between pole and head.
Does a pole come with it?
No. This is the vacuum head only. Oreq poles and vacuum hoses are sold separately.
