The Oreq BR4128C is a 28 inch Animal brush with a curved body, made for plaster and gunite pool surfaces. It is the widest brush in this Animal family and it is built for coverage.
Why a grit brush for plaster
Plaster and gunite are hard, porous and slightly rough. Algae film and early scale grip into that texture, and a soft nylon brush slides across without disturbing them. Abrasive grit bristles are what actually break the film loose so the chemistry can finish the job.
The curved body
A straight brush contacts the wall in one flat line and loses the cove where the wall meets the floor. The curved back on this brush keeps bristles on the surface through that transition and around radiused steps, so you are not going back over the same area twice.
Note on the bristle description
The manufacturer material describes the bristle two ways: as a grit and poly combination, and as a 50 percent grit with 50 percent lime bristle blend. Both descriptions point to the same thing, an abrasive grit brush intended for hard surfaces. It is not the right choice for a vinyl liner, which needs the soft bristle version instead.
