Product details

The Oreq BR4122C is a 22 inch Animal Pro brush built for plaster and gunite pool surfaces. It is wide enough to cut down the number of passes a full pool takes, and it uses the SpeedLock connection system.

How it brushes

The head is designed to be pushed one handed rather than scrubbed back and forth, and Hydrodynamic Technology keeps it clinging to the surface as it moves instead of lifting away. Between the width and that behavior, a pool takes less time and less effort than it does with a narrow brush that has to be forced against the wall.

Details worth knowing

Endcaps let the brush get into corners that a plain flat head rides past. Magnetic pick-ups along the head grab loose metal objects off the floor, which matters because metal left sitting on plaster will rust and stain it. The SpeedLock fitting attaches to the Animal Pro Snap Lock pole and to all standard pool poles.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What pole does it fit?
It uses the SpeedLock connection system and fits the Animal Pro Snap Lock pole as well as all standard pool poles.
Which surfaces is it meant for?
Plaster and gunite. The bristle mix is chosen for hard surfaces rather than vinyl or fiberglass.
What are the magnets for?
They pick up loose metal objects off the pool floor. Left there, metal can rust and leave a stain on the surface.
What bristles does it use?
It is described as a combination of grit and poly bristles, and elsewhere as 50% grit and 50% lime bristle. Both descriptions come from the manufacturer listing.
