Product details

The Pentair R111626 is a 9 inch algae brush with stainless steel bristles, sold as model number 709. It is the tool for the patches a regular nylon brush will not shift.

Why stainless

Algae anchors itself to plaster and builds a film that keeps sanitizer from reaching the cells underneath. Stainless bristles are stiff enough to tear that film open so the chemical can finish the job. At 9 inches wide the head is meant for concentrated work on steps, corners, shaded walls and the spots that keep coming back, rather than for sweeping a whole pool.

Surface warning

Stainless is aggressive by design. Use it on plaster and gunite. Keep it off vinyl liners and fiberglass, where a nylon brush is the right choice.
