Product details
The Pentair R111646 is an 18 inch algae brush with a metal back and stainless steel bristles. It is built for the algae that has stopped responding to a nylon brush.
What it is for
Plaster, concrete and gunite surfaces are porous, and algae roots into them. Steel bristles cut into that surface and break the growth loose so the sanitizer and the filter can finish the job. The metal back keeps the brush from flexing away from the wall while you lean on it.
One important limit
The bristles are metal. This brush is not to be used on vinyl pool liners. If your pool is vinyl, use a nylon brush instead and keep this one for hard surfaces only.
