The Pentair Rainbow R201350 is the oval #193 vacuum head for above ground swimming pools. It is the head end of a manual vacuum setup, so it goes on a telescoping pole with a vacuum hose run back to the skimmer.
Why an above ground head
Above ground pools are liner pools, and the heads made for them are built to run over vinyl without marking it. A heavy weighted head meant for a deep gunite floor is the wrong tool on a liner, and the oval body here keeps contact with the floor while still moving along the wall radius.
What you need with it
The head on its own. Add a pole and a vacuum hose long enough to reach the far end of the pool, prime the hose so the head is not pushing air into the pump, and vacuum in slow overlapping passes so the debris lifts rather than clouding the water.
