Product details

The Pentair R201776 is the white short leg flexible strip for ProVac flexible vacuum heads, supplied as a 5 foot length. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What the strip does

The flexible strip runs along the vacuum head and rides on the pool surface. It is what keeps the head sealed to the floor so the suction pulls debris up through the head instead of drawing water around the edges. When the strip is worn flat, curled or torn, the head skates, picks up less and less, and the vacuum starts to feel like it has lost suction when the pump is perfectly fine.

Getting the right one

Pentair makes this strip in more than one profile and color. This is the short leg version in white. The blue strip is a separate part number, so match what came off your head. Model coverage is given as the ProVac flexible vacuum in 214R, 222R, 214, 222 and 229.
