The Rainbow Mini Vac #204 is a small venturi powered vacuum for spas, sold by Pentair as part number R201146.
How it works
There is no motor and no hookup to the filter system. Water driven through the head creates a venturi that pulls debris up into the bag. That makes it quick to grab and quick to put away, which is the whole reason a mini vac gets used and a full vacuum setup often does not.
Where it earns its place
Spa footwells, seat corners and steps collect leaves and grit in places a full size vacuum head simply cannot get into. The Mini Vac is also used on above ground pools, ponds and fountains, anywhere the job is too small to justify dragging out the big gear.
Service
The bag is the wear part. The Minivac #204-06 replacement bag is sold separately when the original gets thin or torn.
